(Kept here for historical reference)
Blue Mountain is the best live act in the world. Cary is entertaining and happy, Laurie is a beautiful sight to watch singin harmony with her husband, and Frank makes funny faces and drinks beer. And he always has to have a cigarette break , during which time, Cary keeps the crowd spellbound with Gram Parson's "Sin City", or "Epitaph". Seeing him perform that on his Les Paul is enough to cover the charge at the door and the cost of your drinks. Also one cannot forget the antics from George, as he will not only keep the crowd moving with his robotic bass playing, but his cover of "One son a Bitch to another" had now become a widely requested song. They have also been know to perform such classics as Waylon Jenning's "Good ol' boys", better known as the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard, and the theme from "Green Acres." They cover Neil Young (cortez the killer, cinnamon girl, and lookin' for a love), The Who (Squeezbox) as well as several traditional songs such as Rocky Top, Shady Grove, Amazing Grace, Will the Circile be Unbroken, and I'll Fly Away. They also do an awesome rendition of Hank's "Kaw-Liga", the Replacements "Unsatisfied", Televisions "See no Evil", Elton John's "Honky Kat", and more than likely a few others we have not heard yet. Perhaps the best part of the show is afterwards, when Cary, Laurie , and Frank, step off the stage and mingle with the crowd or give guitar playing tips(in my case). They're very friendly and down to earth people, often taking requests from the crowd. If you ever get the chance , go see them , even if you're not a fan, you will be when you leave the bar, just ask all my friends, that have been converted.
