Dog Days

In July of 1995, Blue Mountain released their definitive album, Dog Days on RoadRunner Records. With Eric "Roscoe" Ambel producing and throwing in an occasional acoustic guitar and new drummer Frank Coutch, they had created an ingenius album succesfully blending country, blues, blugrass, folk, and plain ol' rock.

From the good-time rock of "Blue Canoe", which talks about loopin'(riding around the county drinking beer for those of you who don't know.) and fishing, to "Epitaph", the chilling, acoustic story of Elvis , set to the tune of Woody Guthrie's "Buffalo Skinners", Dog Days must be heard to be believed.
