From the MKI Club Website
Owner James Wilson thinks that it is capable of a 0-60 time of around 4 seconds and a standing quarter mile time of about 12 seconds. Turbo Dynamics (01202 487 497) designed a big hybrid turbocharger for the car with a maximum boost pressure
of 28 psi.

James recorded a time of 13.4 seconds at the Santa Pod drag racing strip but has since increased the boost from 14 to 24 psi, added a limited slip differential and a paddle clutch.

The biggest problem was getting enough fuel in so the head was machined to take Bosch green injectors and the engine management system re-mapped after six hours on the rolling road.

The pistons have been modified for a lower compression ratio of 7.8:1, James and his friend Trevor built the engine with a Japanese imported steel crank from Fensport. (01354 696968 ) after he snapped the standard crank at 240bhp racing a 355 (Ferrari?) with the revs on the limit in fifth gear. The car feels quite normal to drive until the power is unleashed – it`s a normal car only faster.
