Nanogen is a San Diego, CA, based company that "develops and commercializes molecular diagnostics products and tests for the gene-based testing market." A brokerage firm put out a 'Buy' recommendation on RHAT at $25 per share. The same firm issued an 'Underperform' rating on NOVL when it was priced around $11.
Opsware has filed a Form S-3 with the SEC to register the sale of up to $150 million in common stock. The sales will occur on an as-needed basis. This is good news in that Opsware will probably do a good job spending the money they raise, but it is bad news because of dilution (i.e. there will be more shares outstanding).
OrthoLogic reported solid 1st quarter results and the stock spiked to $8.24 during early trading on Thursday, 29 April 2004.
