Vint Cerf Becomes Chief Internet Evangelist at Google, Inc.

Kudos! to Google, Inc. for hiring RFC 3271 author Vinton Cerf to their team of computing gurus.

My MAT102 class was taking an in-class test and I was "cerfing the web." I'm a nano-sized Google shareholder; therefore, I got hyperized upon seeing a headline about Vinton Cerf becoming a Googler. He is worthy of his title: "Chief Internet Evangelist."

Every student who takes a computing class should be required to read Vinton Cerf's RFC 3271 The Internet is for Everyone. Cerf ends his essay with the following two statements.

"Internet is for everyone - even Martians!"

and...

"Internet IS for everyone - but it won't be unless WE make it so."

Now I'm starting to see the following phrase... what company is going to be the next Google... and some are answering... Google. If Google is the next Google, does that imply Google2? If "Yes," then Google is growing into a Googleplex.

At one time, Google's URL was http://google.stanford.edu .
