GDT (Gerald D. Thurman) started as a Learning About Computing website. Emphasis is on Internet-based systems using Unix systems and FLOSS (Free/Libre and Open Source Software). During the early part of the 21st century, GDT expanded its content to include math, high-performance computing, 21st century informatics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, space exploration and travel, and robotics. GDT has been practicing its motto of Learn, Do, Teach since fall of 01997.
