GDT (Gerald D. Thurman) started as
a Learning About Computing website. Emphasis is
on Internet-based systems using Unix systems and FLOSS
(Free/Libre and Open Source Software). During the early
part of the 1st decade of the 21st century, GDT expanded
its content to include math, high-performance computing,
21st century informatics, biotechnology, nanotechnology,
space exploration and travel, and robotics. During the
early part of the 2nd decade of the 21st century, GDT
began morphing into a futurist. GDT has been practicing
its motto of Learn, Do, Teach since fall of
01997.
